Boerne Festival of Art & Music Unveils Latest Masterpiece
BOERNE, TX - The Cibolo Arts Council proudly unveils the third in a series of fine art prints created to commemorate the 2006 Boerne Festival of Art & Music on Friday, September 1, 2006, at Bella Creo Gallery.
This year’s limited edition print features the work of former Boerne resident, David MacSmith. The Directors of the Cibolo Arts Council at last year’s event designated David as the Featured Artist for the Boerne Festival of Art & Music 2006. Musician and Boerne favorite son Jonah Evans was the inspiration for MacSmith’s painting. “It’s under wraps for now,” teases CAC Vice-President Doris Perez. “Everyone will just have to come out for the unveiling party to get an eye-full of this gorgeous work of art.”
MacSmith will be in attendance at the unveiling to sign each print sold. Sales of the print benefit the Cibolo Arts Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The print production is underwritten this year by a generous sponsorship from Bob and Dorothy Bockholt. They will also host the unveiling party at Bella Creo, and encourage everyone to come out and support the arts in our community.
The Boerne Festival of Art & Music will kick-off with a gala wine tasting dinner and art auction on October 20. Tickets are available from the CAC for $65. per person. Art and live music will be featured throughout the weekend of October 21 – 22, at the historic Ye Kendall Inn and on Main Plaza in beautiful downtown Boerne. These events are free and open to the public.
